Mark Weber is the Fire Chief of the Mokelumne Fire Protection District in Lockeford, California, with more than 25 years of fire service experience. Throughout his career, he has served as a firefighter, engineer, captain, battalion chief, and now fire chief, leading emergency operations, strategic planning, firefighter development, and organizational modernization.

Chief Weber is an instructor for California State Fire Training, specializing in technical rescue disciplines including confined space, swiftwater rescue, and rescue boat operations. He also serves as a San Joaquin County Fire Operational Area Coordinator and represents Northern California fire districts on the FIRESCOPE Communications Subcommittee.

He has led the development of state-certified training facilities, secured grant funding, managed major technology initiatives, and coordinated multi-agency strike team deployments throughout California. In 2025, he was selected as a reviewer and contributor for the 3rd Edition of Water Rescue: Principles and Practice by Jones & Bartlett Learning.

Chief Weber holds a Bachelor of Science in Fire Administration and an Associate of Science in Fire Science. He is committed to advancing firefighter safety, leadership, emergency preparedness, and innovative public service through training, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
